About Anthony Pfluke Nā Hōkū Hanohano award finalist and 2022 Kani ka Pila Grille Talent Search winner Anthony Pfluke has performed across the Hawaiian Islands, the West Coast, Japan, and reaching as far as the Austrian alps this year. He has shared the stage with legendary artists such as Henry Kapono, HAPA, Mick Fleetwood, Jake Shimabukuro, John Cruz, Amy Hānaiali’i, Taimane, Tavana, Brother Noland, George Kahumoku jr, and more. In addition to a solo slack-key guitar and ‘ukulele derived, vocally driven sound, Anthony is a part of the WAVE, a new project with Henry Kapono, Tavana, Danny Carvalho, and Ryan Perez playing 70s rock-n-roll favorites in a unique acoustic style to often sold-out shows on O’ahu, from the Blue Note Waikīkī to the Manoa Valley Theater. Most recently, Anthony has partnered with Barry Flanagan as HAPA, continuing their timeless award-winning music with shows on O’ahu, Maui, the Pacific Northwest, and more to be announced. Anthony often collaborates with Kamaka Camarillo on new innovative original Hawaiian music such as “E Ola Kākou Ē,” with over 12,000 streams on Spotify, as well as Kala’e Camarillo, who appears on Anthony’s third & latest studio album “Ku’u Lei Lokelani.” “Pua Līlīlehua,” written by Kahauanu Lake, is performed by Kala’e on ‘ukulele and Anthony on 12-string slack-key, in an interweaving duet of falsetto and tenor vocals. Kamaka Camarillo and Barry Flanagan are featured as well, on the album of original music in dedication to Maui. The MACC’s Mccoy Studio Theater recently hosted a sold-out release celebration show for “Ku’u Lei Lokelani,” which featured Kala’e Camarillo, and Tarvin Makia on bass, Ethan Villanueva on guitar, and Makana Argel on percussion, a group he regularly performs with. As a frequent performer at slack-key guitar and ‘ukulele festivals in Hawai’i and abroad, Anthony performs wherever the music calls. Wether a soloist for an intimate acoustic gathering is desired, or a full band for a festival show, Anthony’s captivating sound enthralls audiences with every performance, leaving a lasting impression wherever he plays. mauianthony.com Anthony Pfluke @mauianthonymusic
